Let’s face it Oppo’s F-series phones are always built for medium price range, look and feel is always at the higher end, but performance, not so much. Oppo F17 Pro comes in a sleek form as the front of the F-series devices is almost always the same with it’s fully covered screen area. It’s the rear that defines this phone, with it’s two-tone frosted glass back cover, and an array of four camera lenses, which some reviewers have suggested will be harder to clean, dust and pocket lint are sure to be stuck there.
Dimensions and Form Factor
Oppo F17 Pro is just 7.48 mm thick and weighs 164 grams, just enough to let users know it’s there. 7.48 mm thickness is rightly justified for the 3.5mm headphone jack on the left.
Let’s have a look at where everything is, the top edge is smooth, power or standby button is on the right. Volume controls on the left, micro-SD and dual-SIM card slots just above the volume rocker. USB type C and a mono speaker on the right and 3.5 mm headphone jack on the left.
Display
Oppo F17 Pro has a curved edge, it shows a purplish hue where the high gloss metallic edge meets the display. Speaking of which, here is what the F17 Pro display has to offer – 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels. Impressed? Well, in this price range this seems justified, but beware the refresh rate is low. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3+.
Storage RAM and Processor
Powered by Mediatek Helio P95 SoC with 2x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A75 and 6x 2 GHz Cortex-A55. Oppo F17 Pro graphics are supported with PowerVR GM9446. RAM and Storage are 8 GB and 128 GB respectively.
Cameras
Primary camera is 48 MP camera with f/1.8 aperture, 0.8-micron pixel size, which is strictly average. Secondary cameras are 8 MP Ultrawide with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size + 2x 2 MP depth, with f/2.4 aperture. Front or selfie camera is 16 MP main camera with f/2.4 aperture + 2 MP depth camera with f/2.4 aperture.

Call quality is great, speakers are loud. Multimedia output is standard, works as expected.
Charging
The Oppo F17 Pro comes with a 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 adapter. It’s thick and rightfully so, because the charging speeds are impressive. How impressive? Well, it’s 0-100 percent in an hour’s time. You will be impressed how soon the phone goes from 0-50 percent in 25 mins charging only slows down when it is close to reaching 100%.
Charge and Standby Time
A single charge would get you through the day. But if you plan to use it for gaming, it certainly takes a toll on the battery. It comes with ‘Power Saving Mode’ and ‘Super Power Saving Mode’ both modes will give you an estimate on how long the charge would last.
