You can add and download your ringtone from popular mobile app called Zedge. Sure you will find too many apps which offers ringtones, but popular and easiest is Zedge because of its ever increasing content and its star curators. Zedge offers smartphones personalization ability with ringtones and wallpapers galleries.
How to find and set a custom ringtone through the Zedge app
- Tap Search
- Enter Your Search and you will have results based on Wallpapers, Ringtones,
- Tap Ringtone to see if the search has returned alike.
- Tap SET to allow Zedge to download the ringtone to your phone’s storage.
- Choose one of the options from Zedge options( Setting it as Alarm sound, Notification Sound and Contact Ringtone) that complete the operation
- Allow Access to Zedge to modify Settings in order to set it as Alarm sound, Notification Sound and Contact Ringtone
- Tap Sound. (Could be different on your phone), with possible names being Sound and Display, Personalization, etc.
- Tap Default notification sound.
Add a ringtone manually to the Ringtones folder
In case you have already got a ringtone with which you find no reason to use Zedge just send it through your mobile manager app to get it into the Ringtones. Some phones have file managers on them out of the box, but if not, you’ll need to download one from the Google Play Store; for our steps, we’re using Solid Explorer.
- Long-press your custom ringtone in the Downloads folder (or whichever local folder you downloaded it to). After long-pressing the first ringtone, you can tap more ringtones if you wish to copy multiple sounds at once.
- Tap the Copy icon (two documents stacked on top of each other).
- Swipe inform the left edge of the screen to open the location menu.
- Tap Internal Memory.
- Tap the Ringtones If you want to set the sound you’re moving as a text tone or an alarm, you would tap the Notifications folder or Alarms folder.
- Tap Paste.
Get It from Your Friends Phone through
- Ask your Friends to Go to Ringtones Folder or from Folder he has received (Whatsapp Audio) and send it to you.
- Now you Go to Settings, Ringtone Folder, Tap Add, and Choose folders Tap Whatsapp Audio and locate the file you received.
- Remember the files received through Whatsapp would have a different name i.e. Whatsappaudio
Bluetooth
- Ask your friend to send you ringtone through Bluetooth. Locate ringtone in Ringtones Folder and share it through Bluetooth.
- Tap Ringtones
- Tap Add
- Locate the file In downloads Folder (Varies from Mobile to Mobile)
